-Palácios, templos, monastérios, monges, Lamas, Dalai Lamas, Budismo , Monte Everest, são os temas recorrentes quando se está em Lhasa.


O Palácio Potala, desde 1959, quando a China invadiu o Tibet, é um Museu .Construído no século Sétimo , cobre uma área de 41 hectares, 1000 quartos. Os fieis Budistas Tibetanos devem fazer uma peregrinação ao Palácio em sua vida. Assim como é tradição aos Muçulmanos, à Meca. Uma cidade moderna hoje circunda o imponente Predio situado em um morro e a sua frente uma enorme praça. A Unesco o,reconhece como Patrimônio da Humanidade.


-O Jokhang Temple no centro de Lhasa é o centro espiritual do Tibet. O Sera Monastery, uma escola para Monges e no dia da visita os Monges estavam prestando exame. Sentados todos na frente do Templo Principal , a céu aberto, após abertura da cerimonia, um dos alunos foi no centro e argumentou com os dois mestres e assim vários Monges o fizeram e ao serem aprovados pelos mestres voltaram a se sentar. O Drepung Monastery , outra escola, recebe os jovens que querem entrar na vida monástica.


-A escassez de Monges, deixa os monastérios ociosos e em parte abandonados. situação idêntica as igrejas mais diversas estão enfrentando. Igualmente organizações filantrópicas e filosóficas sentem a diminuição de seus membros e colaboradores. Apenas um palpite de um simples observador das tendências da humanidade: Mudanças de valores profundos nas ultimas décadas, com o aumento muito grande e rápido da população, advento das tecnologias modernas, esta satisfazendo temporariamente as necessidades espirituais e intelectuais e por isto esta tendência .


-A dança Tibetano em um show típico de duas horas, mostrando a vida dos Tibetanos, mas também trazendo uma mensagem profunda do sentido da vida na busca da felicidade. O show HAPPINESS ON THE WAY, A Felicidade a caminho, foi comovente. Sem tecnologias, somente palcos móveis, grande elenco, muito colorido nas roupas e criatividade para sem palavras transmitir em quatro atos, água, terra, ar, fogo a vida nesta terra e com a mensagem principal que a felicidade está ao alcance de cada um e está dentro de cada um, basta saber usar a chave, sem precisar chegar a ser ancião.


-Finalizo este artigo com um assunto novo para mim. No Deprung Monastery, soube do Sky Burial (Google com este nome). É uma pratica Tibetana. A maioria Budista, que ensina reencarnação, portanto sem necessidade de guardar o corpo. Consiste em expor o corpo em local aberto, retirado, deixando o em pedaços, para os abutres. Assim o corpo ajuda a alimentar outros animais. Além do motivo religioso, a dificuldade de cavar por ser um solo com muitas pedras; o uso do fogo com lenha ou combustível, muito caro. O governo Chinês proibiu em 1960 e voltou atras em 1980.


-Somente os Dalai Lama tem seu corpo conservado e enterrado em uma tumba. Na hierarquia dos enterros, primeiro o Mausoléu, corpo conservado, como uma múmia. Depois o Sky Burial. Depois dispor o corpo na água, rios, mar. Depois fogo, cremação e por último enterro na terra.


-Viajar é preciso, permite entender melhor as diversas culturas e costumes, faz bem a saúde física e mental e é divertido.

May 10 Arrive in Beijing and go to the train station to catch the train to Xi’an

May 11 arrive in Xi’an and join in one day group tour

Our group tour’s tour guide will pick you up at the train station and start the one day Xi’an city tour:

Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall, Shanxi history museum, the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square, the Muslim’s Quarter

During the whole trip, you will need visit one or two shopping center

May 14 Xining one free and easy day

One free day, you could decide last night about what you need to do on this day. Here are some ideas: 1, choose to find some famous monasteries to visit in Xining city. 2, find a way to visit the Qinghai lake on this day. However, if you want to join in a local group tour to Qinghai lake, there is only Chinese groups. If you don’t mind, I can help you arrange one day Chinese group for you to see Qinghai lake.

 

May 15 Xining to Lhasa by train

Go to Xining train station to catch the train to Lhasa by yourself

 

May 16 Arrive in Lhasa by plane or by train

Lhasa Train station/airport picking up, you are warmly welcome to Tibet by saying Tashi Delek at the Train station/airport by our professional employee and send you to reserved hotel in Lhasa. Then have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon.

Tips: acclimatize to high altitude at first two days in Lhasa

1. You may feel a little bit tired and uncomfortable when you arrive in Lhasa, if you lack of oxygen, you can take the oxygen in the hotel, clinic or hospital. But please try not to take any oxygen but adapt to high altitude by yourself, if you do not feel too bad.

2. Please don’t take shower during the first two days when you are in Lhasa, it is easy to catch a cold and make you feel exhausted.

3. Any alcohol is forbidden during the first two days when you are in Lhasa. Otherwise you might be suffered from High Altitude Sickness.

 

 

May 17 Lhasa Sightseeing:
Potala Palace/Tibet Museum/Jokhang Temple/Barkhor Street (B)

 

Morning section to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, you will experience its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala etc. Tibet Museum is an important window to introduce the glorious culture of Tibet, as a free Museum in Lhasa, you should not miss it. Afternoon section visiting to the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple, built during songtsen gonpo’s reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D, and its famous Barkor Kora, where you can buy or appreciate traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc. you will have chance to get close to appreciate how the artists draw Thangkas at the Thakangka workroom at Barkor.

 

Optional program in Lhasa: At night, you may ask your tour guide to arrange the local Tibetan opera show at Shobalamu Tibetan Restaurant, you will enjoy traditional food and local beverage while watching the wonderful show, 180RMB/person.

May 18 Lhasa Sightseeing:
Drepung Monastery/Carpet Factory/Sera Monastery (B)

 

Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera.

Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous it was the government centre during fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during fifth dalai lama.then you will visit the Carpet Factory, you can see how the world-famous Tibetan carpets are made. After having lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery,which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard at around 15:00-17:00 in the afternoon sectionmost of the time.

May 19 Lhasa/Yamdrotso lake/Gyangtse/ Shigatse (B)

Passing by the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley, Yamdro-tso lakes, karo-la glacier roadside at 4960m, We move westwards to the second biggest city Shigatse, the Area spiritually hosted by Pamchan Lama. The most important attraction for today is Yamdro-tso Lake and Kubum monastery in Gyantse. Yamdro-tso Lake is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour and Kubum monastery has a 35m-high chorten (stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome.

 

May 20 Shigatse/ Lhatse/ Tingri (Shegar)/Tingri/ Rongphu Monastery(B)

Drive westwards the Friendship way to Tingri. There is about 90km bumpy road from Tingri to Rongpuk, road is under construction. From Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the rapids river and high mountains. If it is in clear whether, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more, such as: Mt. Lhotse(8516m),Mt. Everes(8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m),Mt Mayalu(8463m).

May 21 Rongphu Monastery/Evrest Base Camp/ Tingri/ Shigatse (B)

Early in the moring to see the sunrise from Rongphu then to view Mt. Everest. It is fabulous and splendid.After walking arrive the place get on the local bus then use half of an hour arrive at Everest Base camp (Or you also can trekking to Base Camp around 1.5-2 hours one way. It’s interesting and much warmer, but hard to breath). Hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the splendid- Mt. Everest. Then in the afternoon go down from E.B.C back to Tingri by friend-ship highway back to Shigaste.

May 22 Shigatse to Lhasa airport(B)

Today, our tour guide and driver will drive you to Lhasa Gongga airport directly to catch the afternoon’s flight CA4111 which depart at 16:00
